Custom Transmission Inc is a full-service transmission rebuilding and repair shop owned by Rick Sawmiller. Rick has been in transmission since 1986, graduating from Northwestern University, where he studied Automotive Diesel Technology. He first started in transmission repair working for Ron Gorby's Transmission where he eventually purchased the business from Ron and changed its name to Custom Transmission Inc. Rick currently lives in Wapakoneta with his wife, Vickie, and their three children.


Melinda Schneider joined the Custom Transmission Inc team in 2004 as the office manager. She also helps perform test drives, cleans parts, and does some minor repairs on vehicles. Melinda resides in Wapakoneta, OH where she lives with her five children.
